The ACTLearn Community of Practice invites ACT Alliance members to join an interactive webinar exploring the intersection between Survivor and Community-Led Response (sclr) and cash assistance programming.

As humanitarian actors increasingly seek approaches that strengthen local leadership, community ownership, and dignified assistance, both sclr and cash assistance offer valuable opportunities to place affected communities at the centre of decision-making. This webinar will provide a space for learning, reflection, and exchange of practical experiences from across the ACT Alliance.

Participants will gain insights into how sclr principles can complement cash-based interventions, explore opportunities and challenges in implementation, and learn from practitioners working directly with these approaches.

Speakers

Arnel Limpiada, Cash Assistance Specialist, Norwegian Church Aid (NCA)

Arnel will share practical experiences and lessons learned from implementing cash assistance programmes in humanitarian contexts, highlighting opportunities for strengthening community participation and local ownership.

Tobias Ndlovu, Global Humanitarian Advisor – Humanitarian Response and Mine Action, DanChurchAid (DCA)

Tobias will provide perspectives from humanitarian operations and discuss how sclr and cash assistance can work together to support resilience, localisation, and community-led action.

Mandeep Mudhar, Independent Consultant – Local to Global Protection, sclr CoP of global trainers and mentors

Mandeep will share key learning from several crisis contexts and illustrate how the approach has been applied in practice.

Objectives

By the end of the webinar, participants will:

• Explore connections between sclr and cash assistance programming.
• Learn from practical examples and experiences shared by ACT Alliance members.
• Exchange ideas and questions with peers across the ACT network.

This webinar is open to all ACT Alliance members, including humanitarian and development practitioners, programme managers, advisors, and colleagues interested in localisation, community-led approaches, and cash and voucher assistance.
