Co-creating Sustainable Food Systems: A Learning Hub by DCA
How can we transform food systems to be more sustainable, equitable, and resilient? At DanChurchAid (DCA), this question is at the centre of a new Food Systems Co-creation Hub, developed on the Fabo Learning Platform.
The hub brings together DCA staff and partners to share knowledge, test new ideas, and co-create solutions that tackle the complex challenges in today’s food systems. It provides an interactive space for exploring themes such as food resilience, inclusive production, and systems thinking — recognising that no single organisation can solve these issues alone.

Why a Co-creation Hub?
The Food Systems Hub reflects DCA’s strong belief in collaboration and collective learning. Instead of being a static collection of resources, it functions as a living learning space, designed to evolve as members contribute, share reflections, and adapt approaches to their own contexts.
-
Peer-driven design: The hub encourages active participation, demonstrating how collective insights can spark innovative thinking.
-
Applied systems thinking: By connecting different elements of the food system, the hub promotes holistic approaches over isolated interventions.
-
Practical inspiration: The hub is designed not just for learning, but for adaptation and action in real projects.
Access for Fabo Members
Currently, the Food Systems Hub is open to DCA staff and partners. However, we are happy to make it accessible on demand to other Fabo member organisations who are interested. This offers members the chance to explore the hub as a model, and potentially re-use or adapt elements for their own learning initiatives.
If your organisation is working on food security, agricultural development, or climate resilience, this hub provides a strong example of how to use collaborative learning spaces to drive systems change.
A Model for Shared Learning
The Food Systems Hub is more than a DCA initiative — it’s an inspiration for the wider Fabo Learning Community. By sharing not just resources but also the process behind the hub, we hope to encourage other organisations to create their own co-creation spaces around themes that matter most to them.
