New DCA procurement courses on Fabo
On 1 September, DanChurchAid (DCA) is launching a new series of online procurement courses on Fabo, available to both DCA staff and implementing partners.
Effective procurement is essential to ensuring that project resources are used responsibly, transparently and efficiently. These new courses offer practical guidance to help learners understand procurement requirements and apply them confidently in their work.
The courses have been designed for different target groups involved in procurement throughout the project cycle. Each course focuses on the knowledge participants need to understand their specific roles and responsibilities, from planning and purchasing to monitoring and documentation.

This is the first course in the learning path. Users are introduced to what procurement is, how is an integrated part of the project phases and provides users with an understanding og their different roles and responsibilities within procurement. |

Users will know the purpose of the Procurement Committee, its key functions, and the roles and responsibilities of its members. |

For all staff who are requesters of supplies, services and works |
Requesters will learn about their roles and responsibilities, why technical specifications and TORs are important and know how to fill in a Purchase Request Form. |

For procurement responsible staff |
Users will learn how to draft a Procurement Plan – step by step, and how to use the plan as a working tool from planning to finalisation of a project. |

For any staff who are responsible for filling in the Request for Proposal (RFP) for a Service Contract |
This course provides insights to the various articles and annexes in the RFP template and how to adapt the template to different needs, context, market situation etc. |

Primarily for DCA Senior Managers |
Provides an overall understanding of procurement risk, the tools available and how to mitigate and reduce procurement risks at management level. |
