Remote Monitoring & Evaluation

Lessons Learned and Next Steps

27-28 April 2022

The event

This two-day online event brings together practitioners from around the world who want to explore new ways of remote collaboration specifically within the realm of monitoring and evaluation. During the two days, we will exchange knowledge and experience about M&E in different contexts and how to leverage the Fabo platform to advance this work. The event is free of charge. Join us!

Bringing together practitioners

The conference will explore how the Covid--19 epidemic has impacted the way we do M&E. What lessons have we learned and how can these insights inform our M&E work moving forward?

This event is two days of panel presentations, discussions and group work. You can read more about the speakers and sessions below.

Remote M&E: lessons learned
A  panel of practitioners share lessons learned from the past few years. How can these learnings inform remote M&E moving forward? There will be time for a group discussion in plenary.

Tools for remote M&E
What tools are our colleagues using to do remote M&E? Join us for a presentation of those tools and hear how you can use them in your work.

KoBo - what is it and how can you use it?
This session introduces the KoBo toolbox to practitioners working in the field. Hear from an expert and gain insights into a powerful and free tool to support your remote M&E.

Data protection and data security

How do we safeguard sensitive information and the data we collect? Join us for a short presentation followed by breakout room discussions on best practices.

Ensuring participation of communities and rights-holders

It can be challenging to include the most marginalised voices when doing remote M&E. Find out how practitioners are including these voices to ensure equal participation. There will be time for group discussions.

Using the Fabo platform to meet and collaborate

Find out how you can use the Fabo platform to work with your partners. A Fabo member will share how they used Fabo to present a virtual partner tour.

Checklist for planning participatory and remote M&E

This session will attempt to bring together our learnings from the past two days. The output will be a checklist that we can all use when planning remote M&E. There will be group work and plenary discussions.
